Nested Yellow is a Portland-based fine jewelry atelier creating deeply personal, symbolic pieces through an art-driven, ritual-inspired design process. Founded by designer and artist Anna Vasquez, the atelier specializes in bespoke engagement rings, heirloom redesigns, and sculptural fine jewelry shaped by story, heritage, and the natural world.

At the heart of Nested Yellow is the Custom Design Ceremony™ — a signature two-hour experience where clients witness their love story translated into form through hand-painted sketches, gemstone studies, architectural renderings, and tactile prototypes. Each ceremony honors memory, meaning, and the emotional significance of creating a future heirloom.

Influenced by botanical forms, wildflower meadows, Mayan lineage, and the sculptural language of architecture, Nested Yellow’s work blends organic softness with structural intention. Pieces feel ancient yet modern, intimate yet sculptural — small artifacts of identity meant to be worn every day and treasured for generations.

Nested Yellow offers both in-person and virtual experiences from its West End atelier — a warm, light-filled studio where art, craft, and storytelling come together in a highly personalized approach to luxury.

 

About Anna Vasquez

Anna Vasquez is the founder, principal designer, and artist behind Nested Yellow. With a background in architecture and over 18 years of design experience, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to fine jewelry — one that merges structural precision with poetic storytelling and intuitive artistry.

Anna holds a Master’s in Architecture & Community Design, and spent years designing buildings, objects, and spaces before turning to fine jewelry. Her architectural foundation informs the clarity, balance, and sculptural presence found in her work, while her artistic practice adds softness, symbolism, and a sense of ritual.

Her design language is shaped by her Mayan heritage, her family’s traditions of travel and heirloom-keeping, her love of wildflowers and botanical textures, and the emotional resonance of objects passed from one generation to the next. She sees jewelry as a form of personal mythology — a way to hold memory, identity, and connection in physical form.

Through her signature Custom Design Ceremony™, Anna guides clients through a deeply collaborative, sensory process that transforms their story into a meaningful heirloom. Her work bridges art and intimacy, creating sculptural pieces that feel timeless, soulful, and unmistakably human.
